Opposed to an-Nāsūt (human nature). Ibn ‘Arabī says that an-Nāsūt is like a form or container of which al-Lāhūt is the content, or the secret life. Lāhūt is derived from ilāh, “divinity,” nāsūt from insān, “man.” |
