There are 16 different constituents in the worship of any deity; these are called the sodaśopacāra. The 15th upacāra is mantrapuṣpa. In this, flowers are offered to the Lord with the chanting of mantras. There is also the mantrapuṣpa associated with the honouring of an ascetic. |
